Installation....

what the normal charge of intallation for a turbo, and for example with the SF kit, does it require that the shop do any further tuning, what about when you add an Electronic turbo timer, some one said it was recommended to have those tuned for the high and low settings, how true is this???

i went into a local shop and they said that it was $45 an hour and it would take 7-8 hours just to install. Then i would have to have it tuned somewhere else.

i would diy the sf turbo install to be honest...if you have a good set of tools...

then go get the car tuned by a professional....that should save you some money

45/hr OMG they should be kicking themselves in the ARSSSS!!

most performance shops ive been too charge 65+ and hr

tuning, depends on what u get and what u want to accomplish,

electronic turbo timers dont require tuning,

boost controllers require setting up and fuel controllers require setting up, and most charge the same labor as install for those by the hour

how are u going to control boost, manual???, are u getting the SF fuel kit, if so ull need some tuning

ill just leave the boost at what it comes with untill i buy a boost controller. I have the full SF kit and fuel and alchohol injection. If i do have to tune it how could i do that myself?

unless u know wtf ur doing then dont, bc ull be buying more than just a SF kit with fuel and alchy. go somewhere to get it tuned, if not then i dont know what to tell u,,go to school for it or something
