Rep Power: 389 Well when you pump as much juice as he does through your liver, you have to expect getting nuts the size of grapes. I guess we all have different priorities.

Rep Power: 339 haha ... where is the battery??...
um ... 185 whp at 5psi boost? ... sounds too good to be true ... ô_o
I dunno ... the intake pipe looks like it would hit the fusebox a lot though ...

Rep Power: 0 the setup looks nice but that exhuast manifold looks not right. The piping is dif lengths and goes into a collector before it hits the turbo. Looks like an extension. Would prob be bad for high boost applications. I wonder what the SF guys think, i am still convinced a small company with 7thgen feedback is the best.

Rep Power: 457 This looks promising, as it will give you more room to mount the turbo and stuff, but there's probably going to be a ton of lag to get it spooled as it's so far away from the exhaust manifold. Also, how is the piping supposed to be run to an intercooler? Unless the inlet and out are on the same end of the intercooler, it's probably pointless. Finally, where and how are you supposed to connect the downpipe to the turbo and then to your exhaust? All in all, it looks a bit goofy to me.

Rep Power: 561 thats crazy, relocate the battery pain in the ***, the manifold holy ****, where the BOV, and lets research where the **** to put the exhaust, bc its not following any stock path there, and 185hp at 5psi, im not likely to believe that either, i made 162 at 5 190 at 8 and 215 at 11, not to mention with that thing fully spooling at 5800-6000, yippie 1000-800 rpms to go and then u get to start all over

That "manifold" would cause lag with the turbo being that far off. 1st for exhaust gasses reaching the distance, and second for the exhaust gasses cooling. I really can't say more than C2i0v0i1c and the rest of you haven't said already. But I'm thinking the setup is less than optimal.

Rep Power: 0 agree with lots of exhaust energy loss, and our cars don't have much to begin with. The jet-hot will help, but it is a long distance to dissapate energy...
And i hope it turns out to not be a great kit, b/c i already have a deposit on my sf kit =)

Rep Power: 561 if u look at it relative to my dyno numbers i went up round 20 hp, with each 3psi, so at 8psi they should be at 205 give or take and then at 11psi they should be round 230 give or take
im still not inderstanding this "boost cooler" paint can lookin thingy
anyone??????

Rep Power: 288 Ok, I actually just got off of the phone with one of the guys there. Another one is supposed to call me back (Jimmy is his name), he supposedly tuned the civic. They claim they did a dyno and actually did get 184 HP at the wheel on the dyno @ 5 PSI.
However, the only fuel management they used was alcohol injection - nothing else (that's what that pump that says "boost cooler" is for). They plan on releasing a computer chip if you don't want to run the alcohol injection.
This is the only info I got for talking to the guy for 5 min.....Can't wait until he calls me back!

Rep Power: 288 Ok - more details...
-The alcohol injection is running on methanol right now, and needs to be filled up about 2 times per tank of gas (since they are running the car on a LOT of alcohol, instead of upping the gas).
-Turbo spools up around 3600 RPM, not too bad for lag.
-They are working out a deal with Hondata for getting a custom programmed chip, to even the fuel curves out, so you would use less methanol.
-The kit comes with the battery relocation hardware, to relocate the battery to the trunk.
-The manifold is made from mild steel, but is ceramic coated, so it shouldn't rust or anything
The kit comes with EVERYTHING you need to install. He said that he is going to email me more photos, PLUS the actual dyno sheet! So they can prove the 184 HP. He also said that they could have boosted a lot more, up tp 230-250 HP to the wheels on this setup! Granted, imagine the alcohol usage than, but if you wanted a track car this would be it.....I'll attempt to post more info as I get it.

Rep Power: 0 I would rather have the SF kit. It seems that the SF kit is already well tested with 7thgen users. Plus the SF kit comes powder coated with any color. With the alcohol injection, SF recommends using only above 8psi? i think. I would say that the SF kit would be for a more daily driver like myself. alcohol injection would be a pain to refill.

Rep Power: 288 Amen to that - especially if they can prove to us that they make more power than SFpowers kit......A little healthy competition never hurts (esp when it comes to the price they are selling their kit for)...
