your CVT trans will not last very long with that much power the bigest problem with the CVT trans is it can't have alot of power through it. im suprised the auto's last very long

btw, the cvt trans can handle a lot of power, i have ran 4 bottles of nitrous through it and now im boosting with it. its still like brand new.

hell yea i remember whats up? so u wanna join the boosted crew huh? its all good...no 1 will expect it coming from a 4dr on the streets......ill be boosted too all in due time
thanx for the compliments......getting a new kit soon so that **** will look even hotter! hehehe I have an auto Ex I plan to boost at the end of this year, but with it staying at full spool at all times my engine wouldn't last to long I assume hehe. Am I wrong? Getting a trans swap wouldn't bother me accept the extra cake it takes. So I guess my question is, is that can an boosted auto last a daily driver?

yes just keep the boost low 4-5 psi and get a tranny cooler and keep up with maintence and your engine will last longer than you own it.
Yup! i'm a turboed auto 2dr....I just blew my rings so gonna go with a DHRacing performance D17 motor.....what ever you do get a manual boost controller and not an electronic one...to many boost spikes....thats what got my motor
.....I smoked some pretty good carz with my SF turbo...WRX, Integras, and some HB swaps...my auto never slowed me down and i'm roll'in on 19" and just what 18sec said keep it low but I know you'll want more!!I was boost'in 7 and I had a boost spike and it shot up to 8...there may have been a flaw in the fuel kit so Catalyst is gonna take a look at it...just gotta ship it over to Lancaster
P.S. 6.5 lbs is safe for daily driving
SF still RuleZ!!!

wait....a boost spike to only 8psi blew your rings??
i plan on running 9psi with my tranny cooler and alcohol injection.
i actually heard very good things about electonic boost controllers, which is why i bought the GReddy profec b spec II, i believe they are supposed to get rid of boost spikes?

a boost spike occurs when boost overshoots your set boost value...it happens often with electronic boost controllers like mine...I have the Greddy Profec-E01....alot of my friendz are switch'in over to manual controllers b-cuz of this problem but hey its just our opinion, it may vary with others
Hey 18sec thats what I thought too but I guess it depends on how you set your gain...I may have set it to high...U see I had manual boost before I got my Greddy and the boost would kick in at 3500rpm with instant boost, but when I installed the Greddy the boost kicked at 4500 but gradual unlike my instant response with the manual....

yeah, but still a boost spike to 8psi did some damage? how can that happen when people run 10-12psi daily?
