Lightbulb For SF turbo owners

i'm almost close to ordering a turbo kit from SF. is there any real cons to the kit from installin it on a stock car w/ after-cat exhaust? what type of problems have you guys encountered through time? also the highest safe boost to run??

I blew my engine up. It's a great system, makes really good power. Just be careful. I wouldn't recommend going higher than 8 psi.

Andyman:I am running 8psi now. What happened w/ the blown up engine?
The kit is great, I put it on w/ an aftermarket exhaust. I took us about 15 hours on one weekend and tuning time after about 5 hours.
Let me know if you have any problems.....

I had nothing but problems after I put the turbo on. I had more downtime than I had to drive the car. It overheated a few times. I changed the headgasket a few times. I had excessive blow by and then blew a ring or broke a piston lan.

Was it installed right? I'm running 4.5 psi, runs with 0 problems whatsoever. You think when I get my MBC and alcy I should keep it at 7-8 and not go to the 10psi they said I'd be able to run?

not to down on ANYONE.. cause stuff happens.. but NOONE has actaully had a problem with the kit itself or the parts.. itss been ALL people messing up with things and doing something VERY worng... as with ANY mail order thing.. there's gonna be problems.. i drive my car hard as HELL.. no probs at aLL.. and imon 9psi DAILY... PLEA SE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop hating on the SF kit.. itrs the best out there.. so more people have bought.. so more people have problems based soley on the numbers.... more possibilities = more problems.. if more people called SF as soon as they ha a slight problem, less people would have blown motors.. keep in mind we oinly have 1 dead motor.. and 1 other guy i can think of with probs.. and that was HUMAN ERROR.. NOT the kit..
