DO NOT USE RUBBING ALCOHOL!!!!
i used it for a long time it causes nothing but trouble.... the rubbing alcohol causes severe misfire at boost... i stalled on the freeway a couple times because of it.... you need something that's denatured like M1 methanol....
Rubbing alcohol has water mixed with the alcohol which in my opinion caused all the misfiring... trust me... just run pure methanol and you'll be fine...

Many race shops will have it.
You can use water, but you will not be able to run as much boost. That is for people who just want to run about 8 psi and just want a little more power. The water does everything the Alcohol does, except raise the octane rating. That is what makes alcohol work soo well.

I live in NH. There really isn't any race shops around here. Would large places like Walmart have it? What about Autozone or Pep Boys?
i dont see why rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl Alcohol) would cause the car to stall...to be honest rubbing alcohol will raise your octane level slightly higher that methanol will when you have a 10% mixture with gasoline. in my friends supra we run Xylene in it to raise the octane level and his alky injection we run rubbing alcohol to get an extra octane boost

AHhah!
After almost 2 hours of searching I found the best deal I can get for people who need to have methanol shipped. New Hampshire doesn't have any places that sell it. I found a site online.
This place ships 5 gallons of methanol for only $45.95. That should cover you for about a week according to consumptions that I've heard. I plan on buying this over the winter and stocking up for racing in the Spring. For this week, I'll buy some rubbing alcohol just to hold me over. I can run 10psi on alcohol right? - Its the SF kit obviously.

I only went through about 1/2 gallon a week. When you first get your turbo on the car, you will probably go throug a gallon or so a week, but when you CALM DOWN and drive like a civilized person, it will last a long time!
I run isopropyl alcohol. First you can buy it in two different isopropyl percentages. You can get 75% or 93%(i think). Isoproyl has a higher octane level than methanol. Also you are SUPPOSED to add water. It should be around a 50-50 mixture. You should use distilled water when you mix it. I have a tank in my trunk that is about 2 gal. It cost me $5 to fill. I filled it once, that was about 2 months ago. I have been down the strip probably 15 times since, and I use it all the time! I haven't gone throug a gallon yet!!! I dont drive like crazy though. And my car has only ran better since I added the alcohol/water injection!! Most people actually run winshield wiper fluid that CONTAINS methanol. Dumb if you ask me!! You can actually run straight water for the same result but not as drastic. The alcohol raises the octane and keeps everything a little cooler. If you dont believe me on this check out aquamist's web site. They are the company that jackson racing gets their kits from. Hope this helps out.

Doesn't this sound a little expensive for most people? $50 every month for methanol? Or every two months? I guess if you want to play, you have to pay....

How much you use depends on how heacy your foot is. Theoretically, you can go forever without using any. All you have to do is not go over 6 psi, because at 6 psi, thats when the alcohol starts spraying.

i don't understand why isopropyl alcohol doens't work well with my car.... i run straight methanol and it works sooo much better... no bogging in the high end, no misfiring or detonation.... i've had all these problems occur with isopropyl alcohol... this is very interesting to me...
