anyone beefed up their D17 motor?

Well i just purchased my 3rd new civic. i will have an 03 EX coupe here in about a week. my question was has anyone really tried to beef up the D17 engine? forged internals, etc etc? this may be a redundant topic but in the past i always assumed honda civic ex engines werent half bad. any insight will be helpful.

check out Catalysts head work post.... no rod or pistons .. but the results are from what he tells me AMAZING... i think he said about 75hp from the work done.. which costs about 900ish
edit heres what he had done:

Reformed intake ports
reformed exhaust ports
Dport designed exhaust ports
race valve job
ported stock intake manifold
polished combustion chambers
port matched intake manifold
port matched exhaust manifold
port matched gaskets
swirl polished valves

I also had Dave set the valve clearances and head torque.

cat has to run the new header and intake to dyno before he puts turbo back on.. that way you guys will know the na power it makes... not to mention you will have a new intake and header to buy if you want/.... but its WAY faster.... TRUST ME.. he says he can take a rsx now... with stock header and ebay intake...

I got the turbo port work. So my NA gains were not up to par with what they could have been. I now have the turbo back on it, and at 4.5 psi it feels like a 13 sec car again. All i have is the DHracing portwork.

About the dh-racing web site....

Dave is redesigning it, so it will be up soon.

no, because with a stock lx manifold, the numbers would not be very impressive. And we didnt have time to prototype a custom NA header. Although, we are going to make headers for you NA guys, and they will be very nice.
