Since my car will be coming out of the shop soon... I thought I'd start my own little thread to give some background on the job. I started planning for this months before any kits were out. The only member at the time that had turbo that I can think of was RiceburnerEX (doesn't post much anymore). Prior to any of this, my only engine mods up till today, were an Injen SRI and a HP Racing Axle-back. When I started my planning and was going to use the RevHard manifold as a base, but when it got down to the line... RevHard was on 3 weeks backorder. That's when SF came onto the scene here. I liked his manifold, and decided to go with it. I asked him to fit on the flange for the external wastegate though. My original plan all included the shop here to make all the piping (intake, intercooler piping, downpipe) and the miscellaneous ****. The whole kit all together was supposed to be made and installed almost a month and a half ago. But the shop was really busy and my car sat there for 2 weeks untouched. So, I took it back. I asked Mike at SF if he could make me a downpipe and dumptube. He said he could make me a downpipe no problem. But in order for him to make the dumptube, he'd have to have my manifold, turbo, wastegate, etc. I just thought... forget it, no big deal. But I was sitting here with a month of time before I had my next appointment at the shop. In that time, I installed my pillar, gauges, E-manage, and Profec e-01... saving me around $900 in installation charges. But I needed something else done to make this all go easier. When Mike said that he would need my manifold, turbo and all that junk to make me a dumptube... I thought about that. I asked him what would hold me back from me sending all my parts, and having him hook me up with all custom piping, and mounting stuff. We talked about it, agreed on work that had to be done and pricing, and $150 later in shipping charges, my Manifold, Wastegate, Blow off valve, Turbo, downpipe, and intercooler were at his door step. I have an intercooler that has the inlet and outlet on opposite sides, he made it work out for me. The piping goes from the throttlebody, towards the drivers side, down the drivers side of the engine compartment, behind the headlight, through where the windshield washer reservoir wass, to the intercooler. The other piping works just like the rest of the SF kits. The piping from the throttle body to the intercooler, and intercooler to turbo is 2.5", and the intake piping is 3". It's going to be polished to a mirror shine, but not until the whole kit is all finished and everything is functional. The Manifold is going to be ceramic coated, but again, not until everything is functional. Onto the dumptube (the thing that made me think of doing all of this). The work was awesome. It was rerouted back into the downpipe (Stafford loves the environment lol). anyway, I wish I took pictures of the Manifold/Wastegate/Dumptube/Turbo/Downpipe combo. It looked amazing. Even a customer in the shop thought it was a good job (and DSM owner's hate civic's lol). This thread can't even begin to tell you the stress I went throught on searching, pricing, ordering, yelling, etc etc. But it's all here and it's all installed. The only thing left after this was the fuel system. I have the E-manage. I didn't know whether to go with larger injectors, extra injectors, blah blah blah. I ended up going with a return system conversion. The stock fuel rail is being modded. The fuel pump has already been pulled, and the return line goes in tomorrow (Friday). I don't really know the specifics of what they are using... I let them take it all in their own hands.

I think they are still working on my car right now (2 am here). I just drove by and they were still there. Maybe they can finish it up, tune it tomorrow, and give it to me... fingers crossed. I'll check in tomorrow morning and see what the progress is.

Just to update. The car is basically finished. It's missing one part... Injectors. That shouldn't be a big deal right HAHAHAHA. I can't believe someone over looked the fact that I didn't supply injectors and said that I would need them ordered. So now, I have to sit here and wait for the shitty UPS ****ers to come with my injectors. But as soon as they are here, they go to the shop. They'll install them on point, and most likely start to tune it that night. Who knows lol. I really don't give a **** anymore.

Ok - explain this to me. Is that silver looking thing your oil catch can? Also - what are you running for your fuel system? You never said anything on the front page...
