Engine internals question
Hey guys, I done some search on the subject, so don't hate.
Good Faq on N2o and turbo.
I have a D17 block and want to buy better rods and sleves, I contact the companies but this items aren't on stock.
I know Racing Enginering have the pistons.
I just want a contact and a phone number and if possible a job # for this items;
Rods
Sleves
Injectors
Also if i can find the sleves I need a contact for the block guard.
I want to avoid any radical mods and get the parts that fit our stock dimensions to simply the proccess.
As soon as I'm done with the block I'll like to buy the Titinum valves so I'll also need a contact for that.
Thank you in advance .

Pistons: JE (9:1), Turbo Discounters (8.5:1)
Rods: Crower
Valves (stock sizes and .5mm over): KMS
Valve Springs and retainers: KMS
Copper Headgaskets: Custom made www.headgaskets.com
Cams: All regrinds
Studs: ARP (not app. specific)
Intake Manifold: KMS (I got the last one though)
Semi-Open Deck Block Gaurd (Turbo or N/A): KMS
That's all I can think of right now.

I got it!
This parts aren't on their catalogs.
I just wanted to know a contact, like the person that sold a set to one of the guys here so I can just go to the point and I don't have to pay for the price for custom made parts.
If they already made this parts I supposed they have the cads and molds for them.
I just talk to JE and they want a JOB# and a price from one of the guys that purchase a set of pistons.
I know racing engeniering has pistons here in FL
But I'm interested on the sleves and the rods.

No, I'm taking it to a machine shop.
Finaly I purchase a set of replacement sleeves from Darton.
A D16 75mm max bore 77mm will set in our block just find and they will be placed on top of the existing sleeve and bore out to our factory settings.
Cost $200.00 for a set.
labor about $350.00 (friends price)
The pistons are on stock at Racing Enginering out of Palm beach.
9:1 forged. Price $550.00
Crowler rods $ 650.00
I'll find out soon if it's going to work..

The sleeves I'm getting are actualy smaller than the ratio of our pistons I belived they will have to be bore back out to 77mm.
There are no sleeves made for D17's yet, but the other important measurements from the D16 ( O.D. wall, lenght, flange thiknes etc.)are the same.
Is going to be a bit more work on the machine shop $$ but is well worth it, I'll not even consider turbo till I get the internals done.
As soon as I get the parts to the machine shop i'll get more info and I'll pass it along.

Initially we where going to install a whole M.D.I (modular integreated deck) but they don't have it yet, is on the cataloge but not made
Go figured, any way that save me a lot of $$ cause the work would off being over $1000.00 and my block would off look like frankenstein
In stead I will have replacement sleeves about 400.00 less

I'm not a great mechanic nor engineer but I belived that the ratio of the piston is the measurement of the diameter of the round top of the piston (the distance from one side of the circle to the oposite side) our stock pistons are 76mm. in diameter
I got my parts already and the D16 sleeves are 74mm have a max bore of 77mm.
The pistons are WISECO brand and boy they look very nice.
My engine now
And here is my work in proggress
