Installing Maxrev kit this week
Well this week I should be getting all of my parts in for my turbo. I'm going to run the t3-t04 turbo with maxrev's ic and piping. I'm going to use the sfpower fuel setup and a few gauges with boost control and turbo timer. I'm guesstimating about 215 whp and hopefully at least a 14.5 (at 6035 feet above sea level) at 8 lbs. so we will see what happens when I make a few runs saturday. I will post some pics and keep the update on this kit.

Yes, this will be a learning experience for the most part. I have alot of extra components to wire in, ie: Apexi super afc II, Greddy Profec B Spec 2 Boost Control, Blitz DTT DC Turbo Timer, Autometer Cobalt egt, oil pressure and modified a/f gauge. I have to install a tach, the sf pump with regulator and the turbo, so it'll be quite a lesson but I have a friend that knows his boost to give me a hand. I dono about pics.....I'll try to pick up a disposable camera tomorrow before I get started.

See if anyone you know will let you borrow their digital.
Nice thing is, you can see exactly what the pics will look like while you're there working on things. Either way, any pics will be much-anticipated. Can't wait to see how everything comes together.

I plan to give it 500 miles before full boost and really running, I've got all day friday and saturday to break it in. So far, I've installed my Blitz DTT-DC turbo timer and I've mounted in the SF fuel pump....but I've yet to wire it in so I may do it tomorrow. I have all of my gauges, SAFC 2 and boost controller coming in tomorrow, so I'll be installing all of that. The maxrev kit will be here on thursday and I'll install it then.

-Everything total for all parts comes to under 4800. Of course it can be done for much cheaper but I want complete view of everything that's going on with the turbo....my gauges were expensive.
-As far as the SF Power fuel pump, I had already ordered a turbo kit from maxrev and mike had no problems selling it alone. It was 550 shipped 2d day air.
-And today is the day for the gauge install. I'll install my gauges, Super AFC 2 and boost control this evening. The turbo kit will arrive sometime tomorrow and we will begin work on it after it arrives. I'm hoping to have it done by Friday afternoon.

Hey thanks man, all is going well so far.
I was able to get the pyrometer, air fuel and fuel pressure gauges installed and the wiring is ran, ready to be hooked up when I get the turbo in. It's supposed to arrive tomorrow sometime and I'll probably put the kit on and try to finish up by Friday afternoon. I still have a good bit of wiring to do, but I'd say I'm about halfway there as far as the wiring is concerned.

Well the kit has arrived. We haven't begun to install it yet. One thing that really pissed me off was that the intercooler wasn't in the package. I called maxrev right away to see wtf was going on and they told me they had cores on backorder and they were expecting them in at any time.....it would have been nice if I had been informed beforehand that I wouldn't be getting it right away, but oh well, I'm now in the position to where all I can do is wait on them.
I've got the safc 2 installed and it's very nice. I like it alot. This thing has so damned many features, it's going to take some getting used to. Tomorrow evening I'll be installing the turbo kit minus the intercooler. I'm just going to run a straight pipe in place of the intercooler at 2 lbs until the intercooler gets here, that way all I have to do is remove the pipe and mount it in.
There are several other things that I need to pick up for a smooth install and there's definitely alot of work ahead of me. I'm still shooting for Saturday afternoon to have everything installed so hopefully all will go well.

Well I tried to install the kit last night but it doesn't even fit. First of all, the slave cyllinder for the clutch is completely in the way of the turbo and it can't be moved. Secondly, the downpipe doesn't clear the a/c lines. It looks like this kit was made for an auto without a/c, I think it would have fit in one of those cars. I plan to return the product and I plan to get my money back.
Here are some pics of the install attempt.

I know the kit that I have won't fit a manual with a/c because that is exactly what I have. It looks like the kit may've been tested on an automatic transmission and it probably wouldn't have had a/c either.

Well, the install attempt was Friday night. I wasn't able to reach anyone today so I'll try back on Monday. The guy that I ordered the kit from took vacation and won't be back for 2 1/2 weeks. I hope they are willing to work with me and I'll post here when I find out what's going on.
dude, that turbo is huge for ur engine bay, almost looks like a t3/t4 or something, honestly an srt-4's turbo is smaller than that
eric
maybe u got the wrong sized turbo, hehe
*edited* is it just me or does it look bigger than sfpowers turbo as well? thats weird, someone has some explaining to do, that companys going to go downhill with our crowd if something isnt fixed there

I think that all of the Civics come w/ a/c now, seems like they probably didn't have their $hit together at MaxRev. I am anxiously awaiting the SF kit and even though I haven't gotten it yet, I would suggest you look into the full air to h20 kit w/ the bigger turbo they have out now. They have been working very hard to make sure the EX kit fits on right. GOOD LUCK! (why do the people always have to be on "vacation" when you want to talk to them????)
