I'm finally getting around to buying a bike, so I need some info on what's needed to ride. I was checking out the Secretary of State site, and all they say is that you have to pass a written test to obtain a 12 month probationary type permit that requires you to ride during the day and under the supervision of a licensed rider. Is this all that's needed? Or do I need to pass some sort of road test or riding class?

i emailed the secratary of state office but i was thinking it would take them forever to respond. they called me back in two days haha, so yeah i have all the info i need, thanks.
