vehicle emission test
I just got a letter that I have to do a vehicle emission test by March.
Anyone know where I can do it very easily?
I have front windows tint which I don't want to take out and I don't think the catback, cermaic header, and ebay intake would fail the test... i'm only concerning about my tinting...
please help...
(probably find someone in chinatown to do it)

unless you live in California, they wont care about your mods unless it affects the emissions your car emits (i.e. too many pollutants).
No, this is how it goes in IL, we have to do emissions tests on a based schedule
you buy the car new, 5 years later you have to do the 1st emissions test
then after that its every other year until its 15 years old
after 15yrs old you have to do it every year
(i know this schedule cause my last car was 13 years old)
i suggest the Lisle testing station, theres this cool *** filipino old guy that works there and always asks **** about my car, my turbo accord passed emissions there
if you live in rural areas further away, there are no emissions, but there are in Cook and next surrounding counties

Don't even worry about it. I had mine done just before I sold it and I still had everything on it. catback and intake. All they do now on new cars is plug them into a computer.
Has your cel light even been on??? If not, don't sweat it.

I going in for a test this year but I have tinting in the front would the city ones care about it??? And do I need to do any kind of maintenance before doing one?? Haven't done one for a quite a while since I was changing before cars every three years

just make sure the car is warmed up. drive on freeway for a while. if you're really worried, get some lubecontrol.com stuff and throw it in. you'll be fine tho. at least change the plugs if its been a while.

Your car should pass w/ no prob. You'd have to have something seriously wrong for a car this new to have emissions problems, even with mods.
The emissions guys are contractors to check emissions, they don't care about tint or front licence plates or any crap like that.
