it looks like i'm going to need a new (or used) transmission since it will cost me $2250 just to mine fixed. if anyone is selling theirs or knows someone/place to get it from, please let me know. i posted here b/c i prefer local pick up. i have a 2001 lx auto. i'm not sure what other transmissions (different year, manual, etc.) would do, so if anyone can answer that it'll be appreciated. thanks

hey man, I have the exact same problem as you. I have an 01 EX and i am taking it to this trans place to get mine fixed this friday. MY car is sold but I promised the buyer that i will fix that before he takes the car from me. PM me if u need or if you would like to make and app with the same guys thats i'm getting it from. This trans shop is called suburban Transmission, and it is located in Des Plaines next to my dadz BP gas station. SO i'm taking it there because i'm hoping he will give me a good deal and coz e knows my dad.

Had mine fixed 2 years ago cause it was making a weird whiny noise, dealer voided my warranty because my car was lowered and hit me with a $1400 bill. At the time i had no choice cause i couldnt afford not to have a car at the time.

If you can have down time on your car you should search around ive seen them on ebay for 400-600
