well you better get boiling love..

bryan seems like you already found a navigator/leader there
(regarding you comments to points 1-3)

1: pretty much what joel said, but i kept it vague due to the unknown number to attendees

2: even if you designate a scheduled break/rest time..there are those situations that need attention. but i you wanna be on the dot. whom ever is head navigator needs to find prime stopping locations along the way, pref. food stops but thats my fat *** talking. and those sightseeing locations.
at this point i would nominate joel as head navigator (and food network, sorry my fatass talking )

3:when i meant communication, i was ragarding communication with other nav./leaders to notify of changes, so that quick action can be made (like immediate stops, of maybe a 5+ min break at a rest/prime location so that the stragglers can catch up or are able to find a rendevous point that has a high percentage rate of succession, b/c if one group stops basically the whole group may have to otherwise they may get lost=waste of time)

(*1) plus you cant call everyone at once, so commincation is limited to going up or down the chain of command or in this case front or rear of the group.

(*2)Keep in mind we cannot control the highway at all times so there may be gaps between groups, find a way to maximize communication during these situations depending on the event.

also: there has to be STRONG TEAM work amongst the Nav./Leaders in finding quick resolutions and reassessing the situation whatever that may be (vaguely speaking) refer to (*1) and (*2)

Now onto hw
-Kevin

Well I know for sure I am going (unless something dramatic happens pray to God nothing dose) and for the next few weeks I will be mapping out the trip (land marks/rest stops).

From the looks of it I will be taking Friday and Monday off of work (08/03/07 and 08/06/07). From Ft. Worth Texas it takes about' 15 hours so I either start driving early in the morning around 5-6 o'clock Friday. Or start on Thursday night and stay in one of those states between here and there.

As of right now I can answer the questions above because I don't have any answers and that is a lot of work. But I will tell ya'll where I will be at what time when I do my research.

I will take a Co-Pilot, we need walkie-talkies. So I can warn y'all about sudden speed bursts up to 140 without any restraints!

Oh and also when we are exiting.

I was thinking of saving up for some walkie-talkies too. That is probably the best means of communication in this situation.

hey fellas. I'm in AR and Mapquest shows your quickest route is through here if you guys want to make a stop after 4 or so hours and meet up. I'd also be happy to put some work in on the route or pick up some walkie talkies

Definitely bro, I have GPS on my laptop and when it gets closer we can choose a meeting up place and maybe that can be when we stop to get lunch or something.
