NOTE: Please print and fill out these forms and bring them with you to the next meeting or the autocross itself.
- Official Registration Form
- Liability Release Form
- Don't forget to bring your $ !!!
Directions
- Directions to the Mineral Wells Airport (from the Ferrell Center parking lot): Google Maps
- this route takes about 2:10 averaging ~80mph
Introduction
It's official, Sunday, October 1st, 2006 will be the first autocross at Mineral Wells for the fall (We are planning on having another autocross in Nov/Dec). Let's go ahead and start the sign-up list. Post or PM me to sign-up (I need screen name, full name, and car).
Schedule, October 1, 2006
5:45AM - leave from Ferrell Center parking lot
8:00AM-9:30AM - setup track
- All crew required to be at track by 8AM
8:30AM-9:30AM - Registration, tech inspection, and drivers meeting
- All drivers must be at the track by 8:30AM
9:30AM-10:00AM - car prep and group assignments
10:00AM-12:00PM - 1st session
12:00PM-1:00PM - lunch break
1:00PM-3:00PM - 2nd session
3:00PM-5:00PM - free runs
5:00PM - breakdown the track
NOTE: No late arrivals will be allowed to participate. If you arrive after we've begun, too bad.
Format
- Depending on the diversity and total number of entries, we will either split the cars up into classes, or just run one big class. In either case we will still split up into run groups of 5-7 cars.
Fees (All payment due before sessions begin)
- For BDC members (with all dues payed): $10 per driver
- Non-members/Guests: $20 per driver
- Spectators are free
Safety
- Tech Inspection, All cars will be subject to a simple tech inspection before the event. This is to make sure that the car is safe to run on the course, and that all proper safety gear is present.
- Safety Gear, a racing or motorcycle helmet will be required for all drivers and passengers.
Legal
- This is NOT an official BDC or Baylor event. Due to legal issues, we cannot say that this is an official BDC event (this is not new, it has been the case in past autocrosses as well). This will not hinder us in any way, it's will only effect how we can promote the event.
