The Jury is in..... NOT GUILTY ON DUI!
hey whatsup everyone, havent been around in a while. just messing around w/ school n ****. anywayz, some of u probably heard about the trouble i went n got myself into -__=
if you havent, here's the quick version.
bak in nov. i got pulled over n san jose and charged w/:
Ticket 1: DUI (under 21 w/ a BAC of over .01) license suspension for 1yr. i was a fuking .002 over the limit. which is a .012
Ticket 2: Dangerous and Wreckless Driving (Misdemeanor)
Ticket 3: Too many passengers w/o seatbelt (6 ppl in the car including me.)
Ticket 4: Blacked out taillights (fix it ticket)
Ticket 5: Double License. (my license expired in dec 05. so i re-newed it online and they sent me it thru the mail. i put it in my wallet and didnt take out the other one b/c it hadnt expired yet. apparently i get a fukin ticket for having 2 on me. whoopie.)
....
yeah 5 tickets at the same time. plus i was in a legal parking spot when i got pulled over. but they decided to do me a favor and tow my car anywayz
and arrest me @ 3am..... only to let me out at 7am. went to get my car out of impound (-$300). n then went to work at 10. that was a long *** day.
...
ok so now for the good news!
i split up the DUI from the rest of the 4 charges and had 2 different lawyers handle it. for the DUI i had my previous lawyer (Sherry Gendelman) take care of my DUI and license suspension. and another lawyer (Steve Nakano) deal w/ the other 4 w/ the misdemeanor. (complicated story)
so sherry called me yesterday and she said, "We WON!"
Not Guilty on DUI and my license suspension is revoked. no charge to the court. no points on the insurance. no license being taken away. **** you police! damn am i relieved.
as for the other 4 tickets... my other lawyer got them reduced to 2 moving violations. 1 is excessive speed and the other is illegal lane change w/o signalling. both will cost a total of $200 to the courts. unfortunately both those moving violations will put a point each on my insurance -__=.
---------------------------
so yeah, thats whats been up w/ me. i am fuking happy this turned out pretty good for me. especially the fact that i even admitted to drinking on the police report. and my lawyer still got me out of it. ahaha. isnt that amazing.
as for what the hell i was doing. yeah it was completely stupid. we've all been there. fuking around n thinking we can autocross in our civics in the middle of the street or a parking lot. i had 1 beer in me, n i was honest to the cops about drinking. and look wtf happened. word of advice. JUST SAY NO! even if they run 4 or 5 sobriety tests on ur *** and u fail miserably. still DO NOT admit to drinking. you can always say no and then say yes later.......... but you cant take back a yes and say no. (i didnt know that)
n yeah. thats my update. if anyone needs the numbers to my lawyers or knows anyone in a bit of trouble. i would definately HIGHLY recommend both Sherry Gendelman and Steve Nakano for the job.
sherry does mostly traffic tickets. shes located in south san francisco and will travel as far as san mateo or around there for cases. shes 3 for 3 for me.
- got me out of a 95 in a 65 speeding ticket (no point on the insurance and online traffic school).
- illegal u-turn with like 3 signs posted at the innersection
- and now a DUI case w/ me admitting to drinking on the police report.
nakano does anything from traffic to homicide. he is located in san jose.

i paid Sherry Gendelman a total of $800. it was 400 for her but then it was another $400 for her to bring in the expert to challenge the calibration.
as for steve nakano, he was a bit more expensive. i paid him $2500 total.
btw yeah, do not drink and drive, even with any alcohol in ur system. very stupid move no matter how much u have, even a sip.
yeah fobster im good 4 2m. hope u still got my number. ill call u in the morning around 11 to make sure its still on

I'm a bit conflicted as to whether or not be happy or sad that your charges got reduced that much. On one, it sucks to have all those points on your record. On the other, autocrossing on the street w/ 6 ppl in your car and after drinking a beer and being under 21 is just... reckless.

yeah, thats one thing i learned bigtime. all i had was 1 beer. LITERALLY. and it was an hour before. i was completely and utterly sober when i got pulled over. but yeah. no drinking and driving. PERIOD. definately a good idea, even if u havent had much. just get someone else 2 drive. better safe than screwed w/ 5 tickets in ur *** and a towed car
