hey guys, just wanted to see what mileage you guys/gals changed your timing belt ( +water pump ) at . I've heard you're suppose to do it @ 90,000 mi, and i've heard 60,000 mi . A trust worthy friend told me to do it at 60 K, and im already at 64,400. I want to do it now, but if it can wait till 90,000....I dont wanna do it till then cause of low funds Thanks for looking.

60k is usually when the oem pulley starts to break down, so thats prolly why he said it. You need to replace crank pulley and water pump when you do the belt.

86k km? That comes out to about 54k miles.
I replaced mine at 55k miles, only because the freaking thing was broken already and wiped out my valves
I didn't replace my water pump at the time. I'm thinking I have another good 40k miles on the water pump... I hope.
Normally you don't have to replace it until 90k.
