i have one. It help saved my car from being stolen when someone broke my driver window. At least thats what the cop said when i filed the report. They told me the only realy way to get rid of the lock is to saw off the brake pedal. When you cut off the pedal then you cant shift out of park so it defeats the purpose.

I usually only use it when i go back down to LA, back to the ghetto area. It gets kinda annoying to keep taking off and on.

oh thank you, i've been wanted to ask about this kind of security device (search rules!)

but anyways, i'm using a viper alarm (not sure which model) and the traditional steering-wheel club (which is scratching my wheel sticker/emblem thingy like crazy!)

can you please tell me what safety lock you are using? i don't care if it's annoying to remove because i love that "defeat the purpose" aspect! (well for autos you need the brake lock and for sticks you need the clutch lock right?)

or any good recommendations please if you can. i'm keeping the exterior of my car stock-looking (trying to go sleeper) so i don't attract attention but i still need a physical security pedal lock device to complement the alarm.

thanks!

alot of my friends are using the auto lock. i used to use it but stopped. i heard from the 01 up civic models they changed the way the ignitions were made, comapred to the previous years 00 and before. If you go with the viper alarm go with the 791x its the one with a pager on it.

Yup, I have the Autolock. Works good. They also give you a steering wheel cover that warns people about your autolock.
