Which one is better city wise and living there? cuz i'm not sure how both fares in education...econ major. I like both but here are the pros and cons of both IMO
SFSU: Pros-
Great city life
Can take the bart to most places
Lots of shopping places
City that has things going on 24/7
Girls ratios to guys heh 3:1
Cons:
Mean people
Lots of bums
Not a crime safe area
Expensive Cost
SJSU:Pros-
Clean area/Less crime..it's actually one of the safest places in U.S i think
Less expensive to live
No crazy uphills
Beautiful school
Cons:
Not as lively as S.F although only an hour away
50% females 50% males
Seems like another Sacramento
Have to commute
Any other pros and cons i didn't mention? have to decide where i want to go by June or July. Thanks people

commuting sucks.
i got to SJSU right now, n i think im transfering to SFSU in a year or so. just becuz their business administration edu is better over there than here. and because i live in frisko too.
i say if their program is significantly better than here at SJSU. go for it. itll be worth it.
but if its around the same, save urself some time and $ and stick with it here in the 408

so your from sac. if i were you i would go to sjsu or even sac state. and no way in hell san jose is like sac. sac is freakin wack. san jose is much better. but sfsu has night life day life anything life. but the scary people walking up and down the street in frisco is a negative. you can walk up and down the street in san jose and even in downtown san jose. but the shopping is much better in frisco. but you also have valley fair in san jose. both have expensive living costs. hell im confused now. but whatever you like.i would go sjsu.

the district around sfsu is pretty good i think. and its close to freeway. althought it gets conjested during rush hour.
and the campus is right next to the shopping mall.
btw, is the girl-guy ratio in sfsu really 3 girls to 1 guy? that's awesome...

yea SFSU is in the sunset district and it's close to Stonetown mall, also i can maybe transfer my Department of Justice job here to the regional office there but it's the bums and high crime rate that's a negative and yeah traffic is tough during rush hour...honking everywhere and people

I could go to Sac state but it's just that i want the moving out experience, growing up here hah
if education is more important to you i say sf. sjsu is not as nice a program as it used to be before the budget cuts and stuff - i'm currently at sjsu so i know. there's more to do in sf, but after awhile you'll get sick of it. sj is in the middle of it - 45 mins from sf and less than 30 mins from santa cruz. sj is nice, safe and clean, plus it's more of a car friendly city than sf. i would never drive my car around sf.

if its an issue of bums and crime...... i think thats kind of a lame reason not to chose a certain college. lol. but yeah, if ur concerned about parking ur civic on the street n having it broken into, then frisko is probably a little bit more likely to be worse than san jose. as for the hobos. just ignore em, they wont bother ya

education is a lot more important of course but i talked to both and both seem appealing to me. I didn't know SJSU had budget cuts, i thought they just recently added more stuff, isn't the library new now too? Well i don't want to lose my vic now if i go to S.F, i read that parking garages from apartmentratings.com that the apartments don't even help. Any suggestions on where to live for both state colleges?

if you decide to go to SJSU, make sure you get here early for parking. hehe. i also advise you not to park in the 7th or 4th street garages

what about living places for both colleges, rent a house or look for apartments? If apartments, which ones? Don't feel like living on campus since the rates are outrageously high

i would suggest dorming your first yr. Dorming is best if you want to meet a lot of new people. You won't really meet as many people if you live off campus. Plus freshmen yr is probably the only yr you can screw around and just socialize most of the time.
