any of u know if the PS2 has a boot disc?? i know it has a mod chip and all... i was just wondering cuz someone was tellin me they had a boot disc and that it works fine for both copied games and japanese games.

btw, i would post this in Off-Topic but it probably would get deleted by that mod "Fat****Racer".... u all know who he is.

game shark or Actionxxxx can be the boot disc. but you still have to mod your ps2. by the way, I have a brand new game shark for PS2 for sale. let me know if anyone wants it.

trust me, you don't want to do it yourself. I messed up my first PS2, then I bought a pre-mod ps2 from oversea. it's a little bit more, but it's worthy. now I download games from the internet, and burn them on cd-r, play them with no problem. The game shark is 2.0. how about $20? it's still new in box, never open. I can bring it up to daily city to you, edgar...

if you already have a ps2, go to a store in milpitas, somewhere in 237 and able. they do modify ps2. but they charge $170 for the part and labor. if you don't have a ps2 yet, you better get a pre-mod one.

i think i have a mod chip for a ps2. it requires some sodering thats why i didnt install it on my ps2.

yeah, they need to be sodered...if its a small chip, its prob for a ps1..ps2 chips are alot bigger.
