Ok, here's my deal....

I want to get a new deck in my car, a flip out screen kinda deck. The only thing is, this is the part where I'm stuck. I want to get the new Pioneer IN DASH DVD deck, but that's gonna run me like 900 bucks. Plus, I wanted to use that a/v box to hookup my Xbox to that. Figuring I wanna hook up my box, I figured I would be better off just getting an in dash LCD screen deck and then run the DVD off my Xbox---therefore saving me like 300-400 bucks. Would I be losing sound quality or pic quality running a dvd off my Xbox, or should I just shell out and get an in dash dvd and also hookup my Xbox. I've heard it before, "f**k the xbox, too flashy", but i'm gonna do it regardless. Let me know what you guys think. Models, brands are also welcomed. I just figured to get the screen so i can mess around on my xbox, very rarely am I actually going to watch DVDs in my car, especially since I work Mon-Fri and like to bump my beats in the mornings.

just get the dvd....... so i can get ur pioneer. but ull lose sound quality from the xbox. xbox sound to be high quality u need the advance high definition or advance pack which supports only optical out

wtf u talkin about, u wont lose sound quality, just get some monster cable a/v cable for the xbox, it all depend on the install too, indash dvd player are alot, have u look at getting the double din dvd player, they are cheaper then the indash dvd player

Thanks, but it's cool. Even with a discount, it's still $$. I'm most likely going to ebay it, unless I can take Vince with me to get it so he could working his lowballin skillz.

I am gettin the Alpine LCD motorized moniter thing woithout the DVD and hookin up the PS2 and gettin me the new PSX when it comes out... The Alpine unit goes for like $800 and I am gettin it for around $500

I don't think you should worry about sound quility, a-lot of people have done what you said you are gonna do...
