Get work done in Mexico?
Get work done in Mexico?
yooooo, so i heard that if you know the right places down in mexico, you can get a really good job done on your car (as good as anything you can get here, at least) for MUCH MUCH cheaper. (i HEAR). i mean ALL work by this, but to make it really worth it, it'd have to be something expensive to begin with--i'm thinking of getting my tint done down there. so has anyone gotten anything done down across the border
? and do you know any places i can trust (just being cautious)? erm, i guess that's it.
p.s. did anyone read that thread in the "members' rides" forum about the guy that shaved his door handles for 90 bucks (in mexico)? damn, i though that was a pretty good price

your tint is gonna bubble if you get it done down there. not worth it. Maybe for body repair it would be aworth a trip down there, but it not guaranteed, if you're into getting one. But I would get a dent removed down there but not custom work.
haha
. ok ok, i know it's not really that trustworthy going down there to have something done, so i probably won't. but still, don't think that i live in LA; i live in san diego, less than an hour away from the border. it's still a biatch getting across, though
. anyway, DID YOU SEE the work done on this guy's car??? . sure, the pictures aren't high enough res to see the detail, but it looks like they did a good job on the handles
(not that i'd shave my handles; that's pretty dumb for a daily driver IMO)

Looks good; but you know, I just don't trust ANY place in Mexico. The reason why is because I don't know anyone, so any shop I go to would be a "stranger" shop. They can jip you or mess it up, sometimes not intentionally, then what you gonna do? Call the Mexico PD?
Hell naw.. u are screwed with their PD.
Anyway, if u know people, then yeah. If not, then .. uh.. no.

Ya like people said, if you know someone there go ahead but if not, I dont think id do it. I say just find a place that does a great tinting job and has a good price. I think they might even come with some kind of warranty or something. Ummm ask that one dude on nanashi. The guy with the EBP Coupe and white rims. I forgot his name. Also, I think Jen might know some good work and good priced places to get tint done.
