Rep Power: 323 Painting my side mirrors
I droped off my side mirrors to be painted and I forgot to ask him how they were gonna paint it so I called them once I got back home. I remember that you gotta primer it first before you paint so the paint will stick. So I called him about that and he said that cuz its plastic there's no need to primer it and the paint should stick really good. He even told me if he did put primer it'll make the paint come off lease:. So I dont know if he knows what he's doing. This is an Auto body shop place called YAMA's. I also asked them if I get a lifetime warranty on this paint job and he said no and when I look at the receipt it says lifetime warranty. WTF??

Rep Power: 0 ummmm, yeah he should put primer on it, i think urethane is a kind of plastic and that needs primers as well...if a rock hits your mirrors your paint may slowly start cracking and expanding, so i wouldn double check on that

Rep Power: 290 Hey Dru, anytime you paint something no matter if it's plastic or not you should always primer first cause Vietguy is right your paint will start cracking.

Rep Power: 0 Bad. $50 sounds more reasonable.
Maybe they charged you $100 due to labor (removing/installing them). At least they have lifetime warranty...that's always good.
