Has this happend to you?
I was driving in the rain about 2 weeks ago at night and ran over a huge pot hole and bent my rim to the point where the tire cant hold air. Just last night i was driving on the freeway going a little over a 100 and my c/f hood flys off. Is this a sign telling me to get rid of my car or start all over?? Well im looking to buy a new hood in night hawk black or c/f if anyone is selling used stuff. thanks

but yeah, if you get a new one that's all you need... and they have some pins that are locks

thanks for the suggestion on the hood pins, but my autobody shop guy that i go to said oh no its safe to drive without hood pins. then he said oh dont you trust my work. believing him i went ahead with it while carisma suggested to have them installed. anyhow i was lucky enough to have no damage to my car. all i saw was my hood floating over my moon roof.Well now i know to get hood pins and to slow down when my hood starts to flex up and down. Well im still looking for a used hood if anyone has got one. thanks

OMG! Jooles, this may seem like a stupid question, but how much (around) does it cost to get one spot on one rim fixed? My car has major body damage and one screwed up rim. If I can at least fix the rim, it will make me a happier camper.

you should always have hoodpins on your car... those latches are just not enough + the hood is too light... and about your rims... maybe they were not inflated enough? because i remember hitting a huge pothole once but i have my tires inflated to about 40psi (44 is max).. so my rims were ok...

Even if i had hood pins it would of came off but not fly off. It was a manufacture defect. Thanks to CARISMA they are taking whats left of my hood and getting me a new one now. Great customer service from them. As for my rims they were at 40 psi inflated when the tire was cold so it had more then enough air. It was a giant pot hole. Enought to scrape my underbody of my car.Ya well either way im happy cus i get a new hood and i should be going to tru wheel this week to get my rim fixed. Thanks again guys and girls
