vc27156(B)Smog Device(Open Air Element)

Hey my 7th gen people is intake legal?Well on sunday afternoon coming home from work I got pulled over for having an open air element(injen cold air intake /exaust)he said that the state of california does not allowed those things and he gave two options that day either to go home and park the car or go to a shop and have it fixed.He wrote *veh must be checked by B-A-R call 1-800 622-7733 *vec is out service per vc 27156(F) if i get caugth driving it,i will get arrested.[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-nono.gif[/IMG] I've never hear such a thing, have any of you? Well i wont be attending the meet because of this incident the 22nd is around the corner and to take everything out and put it back is too much i still need to call the 800#and make an appt.Am now driving a 2003 spyder property of ALAMO RENT- A- CAR.They cracking down on us,and u know what hearts the most?I wasn't speeding and I wasn't racing, I even put it on neutral when i passed him.Be careful guys!!!!

Your Injen intake needs a C.A.R.B. sticker to be legal. If you call injen and send proof of purchase, they will send you a sticker at no charge.

All AEM's are CARB exempt and already come with stickers. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]

cost me 800bux for a f*****g smog device....... i paid the 800 fine because i wouldn't have passed with my internal motorwork and a chance with a few mods on the vortech supercharger... also needed a new cat, so to me it wasn't worth taking a chance to be a gross polluter...
