anyone with fast internet connection that knows html?

whussup, i'm trying to put together a 'site' posting all of the socal event pictures/videos(especially the meets). reason why i say 'site' is because its not really a website, just an organized picture/video place. it will mainly be alot of copy/paste and uploading(cause i'm still on 56k). i have a web server in mind but i'm not sure if they'll allow all the bandwidth and webspace so if anyone knows any good free/advertiseless/unlimited bandwidth/lots of webspace, please let me know. the one i have in mind, i used for my old personal site. i dont rememeber how much space they allow but i dont think they have a bandwidth limit and best of all, its free with no banner advertisements. they dont allow ftp anymore =( so you have to use their file manager. this might make it hard uploading things cause i think you can only upload like 5 things at a time. but ya if anyone would like to help out that would be greatly appreciated by all. i'm only looking for one person so i guess first person to reply will get the spot, n yes you will be given credit as well...

edit: they allow you to upload zip files which are then unzipped automatically so uploading wont be too hard. if you dont know how to zip files, its really easy n i'll teach you.

eh.. i'm still trying to think how i want to do it. with my old site i made two different versions of the pictures, one full size and one thumbnail. this takes alot of time for us(the people making the 'site') but loads faster for the viewers. compare this to using thumbnails by resizing the pic using html... its easier for us but it takes longer to load for people on 56k.... i'm trying to decide if its even worth it to make one or just to use a site like picture trail or imagstation.

i'd use one of those sites, there are a lot of pics that we'd have going up there and it would be such a pain to make a thumb for each one. i think everyone should have some type of broadband connection, then we could do it a lot easier.

??? i just remembered photoshop has an automatic thumnail maker... you select all the files you want to make a thumbnail of, it resize's it AND makes a small page for it... i'm at work so i'll try it at home, if its easy to use i'll go with this idea, if not, maybe we'll just use those photo album sites that do everything for you.
