well on honda owners link website, it says to wait until u get an official letter before contacting ur honda dealer. I contacted my closes one and they said the same thing- to wait for the letter- even though i am within the vin range.

I took my car in last Friday. It was there from 1:30 to about 6pm. They asked if I got a letter and i just said i heard about it online. The recall wasn't on their computers yet, but they were able to verify it and fix it.

I didn't get a letter. My dad keyed me into the airbag recall and I got on the owners link website. There was a recall out for my headlight switch and airbag. I made an appointment online, left for a week and a half, came back and took the car in this morning at noon. The service guy got my vin and pulled up the pcm update as well. Got the car back at about 4:30 and was told a new pcm was ordered and they would call when it came in. Keep in mind, all this was at Barber Honda in Bakersfield. Sounds to me like you guys are getting your chains yanked.

well i just called a second local honda dealership and they said the same thing. i also called honda of america and they said to wait for the letter and that priority cars will recieve it first and you should get a letter based on the current registered owner according to the DMV, so no worries about previous owner issues.
