Hey Guys,
It's been a while since i've started a thread here in socal. I've been trolling around every now and then but never really posted very much. Good to see a lot of the old members still here.
Anyways, I was wondering if anyone is available to do some transmission and exhaust work. Mainly it's transmission work that needs to be done. I like most of the people on the board that drove their civics really hard, have shattered my input shaft bearing. 1st and 2nd gear is gowling at low RPM's and the tranny makes a soft grinding noise at idle/neutral.
Anyone willing to lend a broke college student a garage and a bit of their time? I'm not asking for a handout, and I'll be willing to pay for time and service.
Please reply with location, date/time, and $$ quote for labor.
Thanks again guys!
Daniel

Haha.. yea dude... I would drop the tranny and do it myself but i've never really had any experience doing transmission work. I was thinking about leaving it along but it's really starting to bug me. I plan on driving the Vic around a bit longer b/c of the fuel economy. PM me homie. I live in long beach now. Let's go grab a beer er something.

PM spoonEM and dopes6070, they can help you out, i'm not sure how many d17 transmissions they've each worked on but they've got it down pretty well
Re: Back from the Dead - Need Some Work Done
Yeah...I can do it for you. I can have it done in a day. If you drop it off in the morning, I can have it done for you by that night. There are a few members on here that can vouch for me and Bob (dopes6070) and the quality of work we do.
What kind of exhaust work do you need done as well?
If you want, hit me up on AIM: xROBxCOREx

Hey Rob,
I thought you were going to sell your car or something and now all of a sudden you have a K? Nice!~ I'll be sure and hit you up about the tranny work. As for the exhaust, I need to cut my old exhaust off, tack weld the cat conv. cover and reweld my stock exhaust on. And as long as there is a welder around, i need to reweld my broken endlink back together. I think the exhaust work needs to be done by an exhaust shop but I have full confidence in you and bob to do the tranny work.
I'll IM you after work today if you're online.

Yeah, just let me know whenever you want to do it. You can drop it off at my house and well get it all taken care of.
Re: Back from the Dead - Need Some Work Done
They do great work.
Rob n Bob did a head gasket (plus more) on my car in a day...got rid of the CEL, car passed smog, and its been running strong ever since. This was a month or two ago.
Off topic, but who (rob or bob) still has my old head?

hows the TC doing brian?
any mods yet?
Re: Back from the Dead - Need Some Work Done
The tC is such a blast to drive, although it handles like a boat compared to the Civic.
Its still bone stock but the m/t keeps it fun.
How is the amp and sub?
