$415 ticket?!
so a couple of weeks ago i got a fix it ticket for my tint, exhaust, and my DC header. the cop said i need to go to the state ref for my header. and yesturday i got a letter in the mail saying the ticket cost $415 bucks! wtf! i thought theses tickets were all fix it tickets? o yah my DC header didnt have the CARB legal sticker on it, but i just got one in the mail so i'm putting it on. does anyone know if i still need to go to the state ref? or have any experience in this issue with the $415 dollar fine?!
when I got my fix it, it was either pay the fine (bail amount) or get it signed off by the reff.
I paid the amount and got to keep my exhaust on.
I believe the amount goes something like this:
Tint: ~300
Exhaust: ~90
Header: ~50
So ~$400 something would be pretty accurate...
Have fun Kalvin! hahah

Put the sticker on your header, take the tint off the fronts, and put your stock exhaust on for a day. There is a state ref at FJC, go into the auto dept. and make an appointment. Once you pass, get the rest of it signed off, send in $30 or so and put your stuff back on.
Ok... i've gotten a fix it ticked by chp for my smoked tails, no front licence plate and windshield strip and all i had to do is to get those discrepancies fixed, ofcourse, go to chp and have them take a look at my car and sign the ticket off. then i had to send a $15 check to a district in LA (the address is on ur ticket). just take the ticket to a police station and have them help u wit this. this is pretty awkward and i hope u'll get it taken care of, just dont push it past the deadline. good luck, kalvin.

okay... this is what you do, the ticket is what it is... but basically it's a "CORRECTABLE ticket"... meaning if you dont go to the ref and get everything checked out... as in header/tint/etc. you will have to pay 415. so if you do get them checked out, it'll be 10 bux each. oh ane even with the carb stick, it doesnt really mean anything to a COP so ref w/stock header.
as for paying... after the ref station, go to police/CHP/courthouse and get the tint and exhaust part signed off. (CHP doesnt charge for checking) then i'd say go to the police/CHP/Sherrif station that gave you the ticket and i think they will lower.... otherwise just go to the Courthouse they assigned to you on the bottom and the judge will lower that for you easy.
btw, i work for the superior courts traffic/criminal division, so i know what i'm talking about. dont have to worry about the $415.
