there was a hole in the low side pipe. that pipe was "only" $35
they put in a new one, vaccumed the system, filled with the oil, some leak detection, r134, checked for other leaks and all that good stuff.
It was my fault.. i bought the "wrong" battery so the thing that keeps the hood open was flapping around in the engine bay and kept rubbing against that pipe causing it to poke a hole in it.
its a little far from you USAC compressor. 14629 parthenia st., panorama city, ca 91402 818.830.1131. They said they dont work with the public too much though, mainly with businesses. they only do AC and they seemed like an honest/reliable shop that does good work.
my co-worker took hers to the dealer and they charged her $195 just for check ups. they were asking for $1700 for the whole job but i think her compressor is out.

Alright, well thanks for the help dude. I have a big feeling that my compressor is fawked up. I did some research and I think that some liquid from the R134 can leaked into the compressor. Damn it's going to be expensive.
