Official weekly thursday night meet thread!
Thanks guys for the concerns! I am most likely picking up an EK race shell and switching the K-series into that chassis.....I am not completly sure in which direction I will go. I'll most definately keep you guys posted.

noooOOoooOOooOOOoo!!!!!do not go to the dark side and get a 6thgen!!!...lol with that money you could prolly repair ur em2 instead of hastling to swap the k again from the em to the ek...
It's not a matter of cost or repair issues with em2. The chasis has been compressed and bent in more than one spot....this is visually noticable. I am entering a Honda in the N.A.S.A. Honda Challenge next year.....a fixed chassis will still never be in the same condition as one that has never seen an accident. The EK I am picking up already has a full race-spec cage, fully stripped, cutout for fuel cell, and an entire spot-welded chassis.....
wow Iam very sorry to hear that glad you came out alive man. GMR is pretty damn dangerous I've had a few friends crash up there. Well the car is broken but the spirit isnt keep on truckin!!!!!! lol
touge, i'm glad you came out fine
it was bound to happen to you sooner or later due to the frequent numbers you what you do, I speak of this from experience. just be glad you came out ok
as for honda challenge, what chassis you want to use is your choice. having a straight ek shell that is lighter is better for racing for sure. but many people run with fcuked up chassis. u might be able to still claim your accident without affecting ur insurance like it did for me. at club racing level, skills still over weighs vehicle performance
let me know whats up, i'm going to be deployed soon
p.s. my car was in worse of a condition than yours from my accident

Chassis is not worth it to rebuild, my buddy with that works with insurance claims stated I have HEAVY chassis damage reaching upwards of 7k....both front rails are destroyed, all aprons need to be replaced, windshield pillars, roof, door, fenders, headlights, and misc. parts.....he concluded that I would basically need to cut the car from the strut points forward completely off and start fresh. This will not work for me for racing....assuming I still stick with racing I will most likely end up building the EK chassis which like you said will be much lighter and what not....but we'll see if I stick with tuning, at this point I'm becoming very discouraged.

nope i havent gotten any understeer with that...the car turns a hellofalot better than before...most manholes clear but when they are repaving a road and the asfault is low than you gotta avoid it...or when the middle of the road sticks up cuz of busses constantly traveling on a certain lane...you learn to deal with it...mine has a few scuff and scratches but it still works fine
canyons are the worst...most of them are clean of debris but some places there are a lot of rocks and those sometimes hit
