Pics first, story after...
These are all after the accident:
^Not that bad, right?
....
Wrong:
Ouchhh
^ Turn your head sideways to see... this is the door hinge.
^ Head sideways again will reveal the front driver side.
^ My door. Thank GOD it didn't cave in on me.
^ Driver side front tire-- bursted. Rim = damaged.
^ Passenger side front wheel, curbed to the max.
^ Passenger side rear wheel, also graced by curb marks.
I was driving down my hill when I saw this 89 Chevy Van, the kind without crumple zones, sitting in the middle of the road, where the median is. He was clear of my lanes, and clear of the opposite lanes. He was safe. I was driving in the right lane, when big boy balooga decides to drive from a perpendicular street onto mine. Since he was making a left turn, he should've gone at least into the left lane. However, big boy balooga had his mind set on my lane. True, he could see my headlights blaring at him, even though it was morning, and true, he could've probably waited the 2.553 seconds for me to pass by, when the road would be complete clear. That didn't stop big boy, though, ohhh no. Big boy started coming into my lane, and my horn started screaming [I had a feeling he would try it]. I engaged the ABS, but I was going down a 40 degree hill... The van broad-sided me, nearly ... nearly T-boning me. Did big boy press his brakes? I don't think he realizes what those are. He continued to accelerate into me, basically, ramming my car into the curb.
The crashing sound stopped, both cars pulled over the side of the road. It was over now, I thought, looking to my left mirror and seeing... a bunch of wires. My door wouldn't open, neither would my window. Police came, it was his fault.
Thank GOD both of us are 100% okay, so far... his car is fine.
And the cop that showed up happened to be the cop that harassed me a while back with that "smog" ticket and all that. He was actually nice to me, though, and I'm 100% sure he remembered my car, since he thoroughly searched it for 20 minutes.
Yeah, this sucks.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah, I dunno... the area where the door hinges are has been pushed in, but I dunno if it will "totalled" or not. I kinda hope it will be, even though i really love my car.

Rep Power: 288 I HIGHLY DOUBT that your car will be totaled. its not that bad. I've been in 2 worse accidents and they still fixed my car. Each time the cost of repair was roughly 6,000. You never know though, now a days insurance companies salvage cars just so they can save some dough.
