Headlight turn signals
Is it legal to have clear bulbs as turn signals for the headlights? I don't think so...
If it is illegal, does anyone have their amber inserts from their stock headlights? I need to put mine back in before I head to the CHP station... Thanks!

It's supposed to be legal...
even if it's not, cops don't know/don't care. The stock sidebulbs are like an off-white, so if you have like, PIAA bulbs in your headlights, then they look sort of amber anyways in comparison.
I do have amber inserts, though, if you are interested
Let me know!

Well, I'm going down now anyways with my clear bulbs. If it's illegal they won't sign me off. My date is not due anyways, I just wanted to get this done early...
I'll let you guys know. haha

I got pulled over for not signaling in front a the Sheriff when I switched lanes. He got me for tint, HID/Blue lights, and illegal lane change, however, only wrote me for blue lights/HID.
Got my ticket stamped/checked off by the CHP for free. Went to the El Monte court house to pay the $10 fee with the court, got my receipt and that was it. The clerk told me that my ticket would have been $114 if I did not have the CHP sign it off.
EDIT: Clear bulbs are LEGAL with no amber reflector??? I PASSED... shrug

Regarding the legality of turn signal colors in CA:
CA Vehicle Code Section 24953
I would print that out and leave it in your car if you have clear light to the front.

In The State Of California, It Is Legal To Have White Or Either Amber Bulbs As Turn Signal. Truth Me I Had A Ticket For An Illegal Color Bulb....and I Had The Chp Read The Law Book Just To Make Sure.
Correct... so far however, I haven't found anything regarding the color of the bulb itself... only what LIGHT color it outputs... so for those of you with the blue bulbs that output white light... (LIKE ME) I'll keep looking.
