omg!!!

hey guys. today i looked underneath my civic just to check if theres nothing wrong that i should know about. so i looked at my rear camber kit and everything is fine, then i move on to the exhaust. first, i was surprised at the fact that the muffler vibrates like crazy when on idle. second, i started checking the exhaust piping and i found two holes, one in each welding spot of the piping and i could see water dripping from both of the holes. i dont think thats normal. i'll have to get it rewelded for sure. what do u guys think?

newbie owned TEmo! hahahhaahah

Yes, get it rewelded, 'water' is just condensation **** from the exhaust fumes... that's normal but the holes are not.

yes sir, it seems as if you do indeed have to get your exhaust piping rewelded. Like Alan said, the water is just the condensation from the exhaust fumes.

I find it was easier to say "yup" to your, "....i dont think thats normal. i'll have to get it rewelded for sure. what do u guys think?" comment.

is it a stock exhaust u have?
if its after market or what not just take it to an exhaust shop and they'll weld some brackets to hold ur exhaust still, thats what i recently did with mine. stopped vibrating

its a magnaflow catback. it already had a customized piping done when i bought it. it hangs by the rubber mounts, its not welded to the chasis.

it might be a problem with the hangers cause thats what usually supports the muffler and keeps it from shaking.

no problem man, i just got the skunk 2 exhaust put on the other day and it was hitting the frame of the car by the mid pipe and it was rattling so loud, i was able to feel it through the shifter and armrest and everyone who got in my car was like wtf is that noise, yea it was that loud. I had my friend who put it on check it out and he had to heat up the midpipe and angle it down so it wouldnt hit, pain in the *** but it was worth it, man that exhaust is deep sounding and loud as hell....but anyway good luck with the exhaust man

If the shop welds brackets from the muffler to the chassis, won't all the vibrations be transfered to the body. I'd be more annoyed at feeling the vibrations through the car than just knowing my muffler is shaking. That's why the hangers are rubber after all. I believe there are stiffer ones made from plastic that will keep the muffler still while absorbing the vibration.

I also have the magnaflow catback and mine did the same thing in the beginning. It shakes on the rubber hangers because it's heavier. I took the ghetto route and used huge zip ties to compliment the factory rubber hangers. That worked for me. It stiffened the mounting points and stopped the muffler shaking. Not sure how much stiffer hangers cost. See what a shop has to say.

yea guys. i went to a local muffler shop and the guy fixed the piping. he also welded 2 brackets to the chasis and used 4 zip-locks to hold the bottom of the bumper that meets with the muffler up, so now i dont feel any noise and my bumper dont vibrate anymore. finally the muffler moves freely. the guy was cool and charged me only $20.

nope its just magna flow i had the same thing with mine and for some reason it just seems to shake the heck out of your car at idle speeds i believe that it has something to do with frequency of the ehaust note at idle

YOU DON'T WANT TO WELD THE EXHAUST SYSTEM TO THE CHASIS, CAUSE THE EXHAUST NEEDS SOME PLAY.
