Anyone here work/worked at a bank?
I'm getting sick and tired of babysitting and taking **** from crazy *** people at Stater Bros. It's time to try and gain some experience in the things that I study in school. So, I'm going to try and find a job at a bank.
I've filled out apps for washington mutual, bank of america, bank of the west, and navy federal credit union.
out of all of these, which has the best environment and pay?
Anyone have any hookups in this industry?

my mom works for bank of america, but it isnt like branch work, its trust and stuff like that. She used to work for a branch in downtown la back when things were really unsafe and it was robbed like 10 times, but she was always never there or downstairs when it happened (so lucky). If you get hired, you will learn you mainly are their for customer service and selling. Selling is a big part, you work 15-30 hrs usually, pay usually starts at around $13 wherever you go and you get commision for every service you sell

Hmmms, i would suggest Monster.com, sign up and apply and you'll get hits within the week. Especially from banks. I currently work for UBOC, pay is really great, i think the highest pay for private banks, min. wage is starting at 9.50 to 10. I know most credit unions pay very very well, BOA, WaMu and a lot of other commercial public banks start off low but give u raises ever so often. But yeah, my suggestion is Monster.com, its the best way to get a job YOU want on YOUR terms. I've used it and i'm currently in the process of moving to Morgan Stanley in Long Beach
