how to intall interior light w/o using cigarette lighter?

I want to install interior blue light but how? I don't want to use my cigarette lighter plug.

use the wires behind the plug then. positive and negative. Then the lights will come on when the ignition is on, or you can wire them to a switch.

ok... then my next question is ... how to remove cigarette lighter?

for the 02 year, just pry it off. That piece with socket and two empty spacers just pulls off.
