Looking 4 local Junk Yard
Looking 4 local Junk Yard
Anyone know any junk yard around Socal area? Im looking for some part for my old man's car and some tires as well. Plz post some info about that junk yard too... --> What u do think aobut that junk yard (good, bad, price?, year of cars ect...) Thanks a bunch!
For rims/tires, Ecology yards. Many of the others remove tires and rims if there's any value to them, they'll sell them at an associate shop (perhaps even on the same lot) for more $$. Parts are usually fairly priced there too, though some things like turbos and dashboards run more than at other lots. One nice thing about Ecology is that you can call in to find out whether they have a car you're looking for. It's your guess after paying the entrance fee at all the other yards.
Unless it's a Daewoo, a Kia Rio/Sephia, or a really really really bad wreck like a 6th gen that got split in half or a Beetle that was in a rollover, you are highly unlikely to find any car newer than 2000 at a self-serve lot.
