Looking at moving to the Thousand Oaks area

Well have the opportunity to room with a buddy of mine and split rent. Question is whats everyones experiences around there? How are the job markets? I'm in the tech side, so with the cost of living of course being higher then where I am now... What are the wages at usually? Also what do you guys find to do down there?

Well anything in computers but I haven't been able to find much work in them so I don't have 6 mths of experience yet. But I have a associates in Computer Networking Information Technology. So basically anything that will pay my bills... I have 3 yrs experience in retail, been doing farm work in the summers here, and I have 6 mths of warehouse/furniture experience also.

It is as bad as L.A. or Calabasas

The job market isn't bad. I live in Ventura, but commute to Westlake village for work. I work at www.Realtor.com / www.Homestore.com.

Here are the jobs posting for my company.

http://careers.homestore.com/

Just search "CA".

Also, in Camarillo. There is the company Technicolor: http://www.technicolor.com/Cultures/...reerSearch.htm

In Simi Valley right off the 101 there is the Real Estate data vendor company called Rapattoni: www.rapattoni.com

Yea.. there are a lot of businesses in Camarillo that seem to look for computer-knowing people... jobs.com ?? I was looking at that site earlier today.. and there are a lot of listings on there.
So.. are you planning on hitting up the Ventura County Saturday night street races out here too?

I like it around there! My parents have an apartment in Channel Islands. The weather out there in Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Channel Islands, Oxnard area is great!! Cool breeze and plenty of sunshine.
