WOOOHOOO...it finally came in
Im sooo excited...my passport 8500 radar detector has finally came in...looks all expensive and ish with like a leather box and everything...lol...but now..my question to everyone is..where is the best place to mount it...i was thinking maybe near the rear view mirror...any suggestions for those that have a detector

vinnie my boss has his under the steering column and it picks up just fine. its funny when i responded i knew YOU would call me on it, but i know people that have done it and it works fine.

Rep Power: 0 yeah under the steering wheel colum is a bad place...cuz it obstructs the view..well thas according to the Escort website:

Rep Power: 283 Make sure you program it so you can utilize the built in voltmeter. I have mine mounted in the middle of the front windshield just under the rearview mirror. You'll see on the top left there is small hump on the radar detector you want that to have a clear view of the rear window so it can pick up rear detection.
