As far as I had read many of the on going comments, it seems as though MangoEX had met USAF60STUD, I still don't really understand what is going on between the two of you but from what I know of, AWD drivers are more likely to spin out. Now I'm still trying to picture Mulholland Pass, I'm just hoping that it has downhills and plenty of it because along the downhills, I'm hoping there will be gutters. I had been experimenting with my slow **** civic with tha gutter grip and so far, its not working.
I guess it just depends on when to use it. With my old car...ze so called "GREEN ROCKET", an 97 Integra LS...was capable of gripping tha gutters just fine and dandy. I had been practicing on the downhill alot from tha rich ***** lands...known as Anaslime Hills. I'm still tryin to figure out wha is causing tha civic not to grip as well along tha gutters going down at high speeds.
Tha driving tran is tha same....but it still doesn't make sense y a civic cannot grip as well as tha integra.
One theorical thought that I know is tha suspension and tha wheels perhaps? Basically tha integra did hav wider tires than tha civic and plus it was added with so much stiff stuff...it was almost possible to cause tha car to understeer but somehow I learn how to eliminate that, I don't know how I did it...I just did it.
Now to give ya'll tha updated news...so far I didn't know there was a chip for tha 7th gen civic, but I don't know if its really real until I try it and I"ll let you guys know if its tha real thing or not. Another, I just got my cold air intake today, I had been struggling with tha son of a biatch for hours...trying to figure out how to bypass tha wires and crap. One thing that came to my mind is to take tha whole front end off and connect everything from there or just head out to tha welders to reconfig tha shape of tha intake to make it take cold air from tha rear rather than from tha front. So far, at tha end, tha top of tha intake is hitting tha bottom of my hood...leaving scratches and stuff...so wha did I do? I left a piece out and its not sitting in front of tha radiator and fan...I pretty much did it ****** style.
Its so gay but when I took it for a little test drive, I did feel tha difference in acceleration.
Still not tha result I wanted...oh well...anyways, I'm still bringing tha pieces for my civic slowly...and wheres da_law? I'll let him know who I am soon enough, after I get my suspensions done.

i have been running SoCal moutens for some time now...most of it in this little corolla in my avitar (RIP Corolla) but now i have a WRX. i find it dose not spin out alot even with the realy BAD BAD tires that come stock and are a bit heavy but AWD is grate for the mountens. also i am not sure but none of the pass in SMMR have gutters and if they did useing them for tracktion is realy not a good idea do to sand and drit in them that can coz loss of tracktion
if u would like to meet some realy good drivers u are wellcome to join me and some friend to go up to the moutens just msg me back if u would like to come alot of poeple show up at the top and we just sit and talk about cars mods and how to drive the moutens better its a bit of a drive to LA but u will find it worth it and meet alot of realy good drivers

I spun out on Mullholand in my R32. Still learning how to handle the awd. Went a little hot into the turn. Vinnie you gotta come out with us again. As for gutters in Mullholand Ive never seen any. I think thats why Decker and Mullholand is always so dirty.

Thanks for all of your replies ya'll
It seems as though I'm really out of luck on Mulholland Pass then...no gutters, means no reinforcements of gravity I think thats wha it means. So basically I'm screwed then...it looks like I hav to use a different technique if theres no gutters to rely on. ANyways, about AWD, I guess it just depends on tha drivers who knows how to control their AWD vehicle. THat is all...
Nightkids1: I gotta see how Frankie is, because all I know is that he has supsension upgrades so I suppose thats wha allows him to corner better. I'm followin tha same step but I would like to give myself a shot with Frankie and see wha my mistakes are.
VTECHGRL: Hey...nice, I use to hav tha same rims on my integra...but its been in a bad shape due to my miscalculations of hitting the curb while trying to grip along tha gutters.

Sorry Ryan no offense LOL I got dizzy reading your post I think what crappycorrola meant to say was:
I have been running SoCal mountains for some time now, most of it in the little Corolla in my avatar (RIP Corolla) but now I have a WRX. It does not spin out much even with the low grade tires that came stock which are also a bit heavy, however AWD is great for the mountains. Also I'm not sure but I believe none of the passes in SMMR have gutters and if they did using them for traction is not a good idea due to the sand and dirt in them that can cause loss of traction.
If you would like to meet some good drivers you are welcome to join some friends and I to go up to the mountains, just message me back if you would like to come. Alot of poeple show up at the top and we just sit and talk about cars mods and how to drive the mountains better its a bit of a drive to LA but you will find it worth it and meet alot of good drivers.
LOL again no offense just bored oh well I don't type the best either hehe.Piece Foo.!

i take much offense!!! RudeDude!
also just wanted to add. i would not recomend useing gudters anymore. it puts stress on the inside of the tire that it is not ment to have on it and u may end up rolling it off the rims. gutters will not help u enuff to be worth the risk of haveing a tire blow out on the apex of a turn as well like i said befor there is sand and drit in them...its what there for.... so just my 2 cents. leave the gutters in Inital D

btw, my first 2 track days were with my civic stock. to the tires. learned so much on the track with those crappy *** firestones

Hey everyone,
I got something to tell ya'll.
The module or ECU chip I had placed on the IAT sensor had really messed things up. I don't know what else ya'll are thinking but its not recommended to do unless you want the electrical system to malfunction in some ways. The mini chip itself shows dramatic changes in acceleration but horsepower wise is unknown when its install into the IAT Sensor. But the problem is, an engine check light came on and then I took the mini chip out and put every back to normal and it still comes on so this tells me that it really messed up my electrical system some how
. My civic is only at 1200 miles and this problem had already occur.
I had emailed tha gook who sold me tha chip so I'm hoping he could tell me that its normal or not. This really sucks...

three words sum up this whole topic.
ITS ALL DRIVER!
Crappycorolla is a badass, I have driven with him and he knows what he is doing. So you ditched the corolla eh? Have I seen you since then and not known it? What color is the WRX?
