annual Perseid meteor shower, always around this time, and this year Americans get boned because the best show will be over Russia and China. Biggest activity comes during afternoon eastern time. I looked it up earlier this week, hit up space.com if you're curious

They said on the news earlier that around here the best time to see it would be 2 in the morning. Even if they're wrong it's excuse enough for me to head to the mountains.

The best meteor display of the summer comes during the second week of August, during the Perseid event. At its peak around the nights of Aug. 11 and 12, the shower can produce 50 to 100 fast, bright meteors per hour for any observer with a wide-open view of a dark sky.

I'm thinking of going up to Angeles Crest tonight after the Fudrockers meet in pasadena(8pm).

my plan for tonight: food, canyon run, star watching

call me if anyone of u guys want to go canyon running tonight 626-674-6347

make sure you call after 9:15pm.
