Spring compressor?

Anybody have a spring compressor I can borrow? If not, where could i borrow one? I heard autozone rents them out for free???

^^^ yea, i've always lowered cars the ghetto way without a compressor... the only time you'll probably need one is if your going to put back on your stock springs

yea, my friends and i have developed a method of taking out stock springs w/out a compressor... we lay the strut assembly on the side, put some towels over it, stand on the assembly and then squat down so you have better balance, then slowly loosen the top bolt with a wrench wrapped in another towel... its a little scary, but i've used this method for lowering over 5 different cars already... without anyone getting hurt (knocks on wood)
