ok so now i know what it stands for. but what does it mean? what do they listen for or make u do??

Rep Power: 346 This is what my understanding is of each:
SPL- Burp the loudest (pressure wise) note from your subs that you can within 30 seconds.
SQ- They check your set-up and all of your wiring to make sure it is neat, including under the hood and trunk. If anything is out of place they deduct points. They sit in you car with a CD that is recorded well and they listen for clarity, detail, staging, and depth...all of which I need to work on before the comp.
...I just need to go with the quart tweeters and unplug the infinity tweeters....the tweets on the floor roll off quickly and I don't get good highs, so i added the quart tweets up high to bring up the stage and fill in the sides...I have great staging and depth...but I gotta work on the clarity and detail...plus, my bass drowns things out on hip-hop.
...I think this upcoming comp is gonna be more of an SQ comp...I am not even truely sure if they will have SPL, but I hope so.

being a dj and blowing many speakers by doing something like that. i wouldnt think thats good for your sytem.

...they moved the event up to accomidaite another event (only SPL)happening at 2pm in Fontana.
