switching almost any new car is not worth it, you have computers, sensors to replace then you will need a tranny, clutch setup, shift linkage/cables >>>>> and on and on............. If it was like a 1972 nova or a 57 chevy, it is easy and could be done in a few hours. this is alot more complex and would probably cost more than the car is worth, better off just selling it and getting a 5 speed.

^^^^^ actually the car the other person was talking about was a mazda protege. not a civic. but in the mean time, are some newer cars more difficult? Maby the civic is just easier i guess, I have read in alot of books and stuff that its not worth the time or money, with the exception of the civic of course. Ive been working on cars for 15yrs I know crap about these new computer cars, give me a 55 chevy any day. can't even work on these newer POS.
