MangoEX should not be trusted
Ehhh.. Why would you want to do that? It's called a fuel cutout -- it's put in place so you don't do 7k neutral drops.

Im also guessing that you drive an auto yes???? If so, this is your reason why. The auto tranny cut in neutrel is 5k rpm.

LOL....

My 88 Camry V6 tranny was replaced at 140K, died again at 220.

Quoth my tranny guy:

"The life of an automatic transmission is inversely proportional to the size and weight of a driver's right foot!"

It might have been better if I knew about redline's ATF product then, but still... If you want to do power burnouts and drops, get a stick shift!! At least then you just have to get a clutch job instead of the whole tranny at $2000 +.

Keep putting your auto tranny in D from 5000rpm's... let us know how many times it takes before it blows. I'm betting around 15-20 times...

Guys I believe its not a fuel cutoff. I think auto's have a rev limiter on the civics. I have an auto ecu and I have a manual tranny and mine does the same. It doesnt cut off the fuel it just has a rev limiter at 5k, and when your moving its differen't.

If you want, buy a manual ecu, you wont have reverse lights though, hook it up, and reflash the ecu so it can work with your key and the immobilizer still works. You will have a check engine light. But I guarantee it will work. I got the ecu for 100 bucks btw, if you wanna buy it off of me, its for a 7thgencivic manual tranny.
