Well, I was talking with my dad about getting my mom a new car when I brought up the 1.9% financing that was going on with Acura. My dad was like, "yeah, if you want a new car, you should get it now or in June," thinking that I told him about the 1.9% for my own benefit. Well, I assumed that Honda would have 1.9% also, which got me thinking seriously about the new Si. What do you guys think about it? I got my car for below invoice, so if we traded for an Si, we would lose about $1,000, but save maybe 3k. I know that dealers are having trouble selling them, too, so how low do you think we can bargain down to? Opinions = appreciated.

Is it that different? of course i'm gonna test drive it, and read all about it. The reason i'd get an si is b/c it's cheaper than the rsx, and i don't think any other companies will be having 1.9%. that's the key: the 1.9% APR.
Titanium Metallic. You got a problem with that?

Yeah, but I personally dont like the Si. It doesnt really do anything better then the civic. I would think that if you want to get your mom a new car, have her get a TSX or a TL with that low financing. Just keep the civic, and put that G into more parts for it. I personally wouldnt get an Si.

Well, my dad is gonna just pay off the C-class [mom's car], leaving extra room for me to squeeze in my request. You suggest keeping my EX now, then? I don't really wanna do after-market turbo to avoid any advancement of long term engine/tranny wear, pretty much leaving me with little hope.

I'm looking to get up to Si numbers soon. Just spend the money on mods for your civic. Ported head work, boltons, and vafc tuning will give you a good start. There are other options besides boost.

Yeah, I think I just dropped the si idea. thanks, guys for the mind-openers. I was planning on vafc2 with bolt-ons, and maybe other stuff later on, but this idea just came up. My car is stock now, so yeah. Well, fipk2, here i come...
Oh, the rsx is out of my budget range [my parents are buying this for me, so I am thankful already]

tier is the level in which the credit score is rated. they offer 1.9% interest rate for the best credit, and chances are your dad has great credit if he is going to be signing for you. unless you sign and you are like me, no credit cuz of age, then you could kiss the 1.9% buh bye.
