test drove a type s

So I was a little bored sunday afternoon so I went to my friendly local acura dealership and looked at an RSX typeS. Managed to get a test drive. Crap! that thing is fast! Like really fast, and it turns and stops and everything. I wish they werent 23k, I might get one if they were a little cheaper. only downside to driveing a car like that is that now my civic feels really really slow.

I should be saving a lot of money by going to a local college (i.e. not paying for room and board), so hopefully I will be getting one in the near future...just maybe...

I bet an RSX-S would beat, or at very least keep up with WRX. Well, maybe not with a launch, but once they get going... I spanked WrX's with my old Civic... Then agian that thing killed alot of cars, wish I still had it, stupid thieves

It will not hold up with a wrx. At high speeds it can take the wrx, cuz its awd and a lot heavier. I/H/E will also get you a lot more out of the WRX. Do a full exhaust like my friend and unleash an additional 36 to all 4 wheels. Take out the resonator on the intake (dont even need a CAI) and theres another 5 to the wheels. An RSX -S is an awesome car, but overall the WRX was better for me.

For me not to call BS on this , I need to know what you had done to your civic...

WRX's stock run 0-60 in 5.4 seconds...An rsx-type-s prolly like low 6's...a civic like high 10's...

Yeah, but the WRX is also quite overated also. It is a great car, dont get me wrong, but the styling leaves alot to be desires. Now, once fixed up they look pretty hott, but theres something about it that bugs me. Also, the tranny on the 2002 sux, just thought Id tho that out there since my friend had one, had issues and then ended up flipping the car 4 times because it locked up and he gravel causing him to go off an embankment...Thus why he drives an 04 STi now with the different tranny...

Anyways- yeah, I like the Type-S. I want the egine and the interior. Styling is aight, but I honestly like the civic's looks better.

it was a B16A with CTR cam and a ITR final drive. LSD tranny. '94 civic DX with a partially stripped interior.

It was fast and fun, then someone stole and actually knew enough to advance the timing... but they advanced it to far blew the head gasket, cracked the heads and got coollant all over the internals, had to junk the engine
