Hey hassoomi, where did you get accepted to? I got into UC Riverside and SDSU so far, but I'm still waiting for UC Irvine to accept me. UCLA rejected me. UCSD still pending. I'm not getting **** for financial aid, Cali budget cuts...
so far just cal poly - san luis obispo. most colleges other than CSUs and UCs don't tell until april 1st. cal poly was the only CSU i applied to, and it was sort of a safety. i didn't apply to any of the UCs, though (i didn't want to do the whole "1 full year of art" requirement! stupid requirements
). besides, the UCs are too big for me. so i'm waiting on decisions from cornell, carnegie-mellon, rice, and this tiny (VERY tiny--as in only 75 kids per class!) school called the olin college of engineering. i dunno; i guess i'm obviously leaning toward the east coast. california's cool and all, but i had fun living in boston for a year
yeah, sucks about the fin aid. any of the private schools are ridiculous when it comes to tuition. cornell and carnegie-mellon are around 40 grand a year (including room and board, etc...)...rice is around 30. luckily i might get some money if i end up going to any of the private ones (as in, NOT cal poly). the cool thing about this olin college is that there IS no tuition; all you have to pay is room and board, so it comes out to be relatively cheap.
ok ok, i guess that's enough college talk
. haha. what was this thread about again?
