Damn the man *(UPDATE)*
on Feb 2. 2004 i had a cop stop by door, (i live in the dorms at SDSU), and was like and he said whats that and i looked and there was a bag over our smoke detector, and hes like take that off immediately so i did, but then he was so steroytypical hes like i know what that is for you probaly hot box in your room and so on, but i do not smoke anything, i would never start. And instead of giving us a misdeameanor(sp?) he just gave us a warning, so that is cool. Next comes the people who run the building, now i have to wait like 2 weeks to a month to get a letter to meet with the judicial person and see if im getting evicted or not. this is my first write up and my second year living there, my RA(resident advisor, person who lives on floor) knows i dont smoke, the coordinator knows me from last year. Im not a bad person, it was a freaking bad that took a second to get off that I didnt even put up. We didnt damage a thing, and now were facing eviction. You go through life being good and what does it get you nothing, because you are still going to have people that want to mess with you. yea i should have taken it down when my roomate put it up but i forgot and didnt think much of it, that was my only fault. they are not required to evict us, and i think it would be unfair and excessive to evict me considering its my first one and that i had no problems last year as well. anyone need a roomate in San Diego? just kidding hopefully it doesnt come to that but ill keep you update with whatever happens, but it just sucks right now. sorry venting is now over.

It was a tad bit difficult to read and therefore to comprehend, but I now understand.
Have a talk with your RA that it will never happen again, and then have a talk with your roommate. Make sure if he ever does anything, he needs to clean up afterwards and take everything off.

they make it seem like no one can do anything for us, we just have to wait it out and see what she says during our meeting, cause we both meet separetly with her and the supervisor of some sort

no one else thinks that a year and a half of being a model resident and then being kicked to the curb for something that took a second to fix, is wrong?

whats the point in being good then?, im not the type to get into trouble , and to have the people who know me from last year (my RA, and the corrdinator of the building) just ready to throw me out for 1 mistake that didnt hurt anything and was fixed in a second, i think is uncalled for

eh honestly track record doesnt mean anything. Just because you have a clean record doesnt mean your clean. Just means that you never got caught. I'm not saying i dont believe your or that your not a decent person but just saying how are they supposed to know it wasnt you.
I really wouldnt be blaming the people who run the building, I would be pointing the finger at your roommate. Whether you smoke or not it doesnt really matter, fact is your roommate does. Granted they shouldnt assume both you and your roommate smokes but hey if you dont tell them and neither does your roommate how are they supposed to know it was just him and not you.
But ya sorry to hear your in that situation but you should really be blaming your roommate and not the people in charge of the building.

i will only blame the people of the building if they throw me out, im mad at them yea, but i think its unfair most of all. i am mad at my roomate, but we both just forgot it was up there. i didnt check the door to see if it was a cop and so forth. but they allow people to get written up like 5 times for alcohol and not get throw out. also my ra knows it wasnt me and knows i dont smoke, he brought me aside and told me that that night. i wont say anything that it was up there for smoking., i will give other reasons not to incriminate either me or him

he already got evicted and its not like im getting into more trouble with the cops or anything, but our whole floor is moving out or like 10 people at least, its so rediculous here ever since they changed the laws and trying to make this not a party school were all screwed
