Computer Problems? I can help!
If yall got some weird shiet goin on with yall comps go ahead and gimme a holla cuz I'll fix it for $cheap$, better than paying some fat guy to come sit on your desk and act like it's all hard so you pay him more. Also, if you guys are looking for any upgrades, I can help as well. PM me about stuff like that.
Other than that, post your problems here and maybe I can arrange to go check it out.
EDIT: I forgot to say I'm computer systems certified now. I'm a tech!
Also AIM is: CivicSouldja02 and PM me for my phone number.

Think you can get us a good price on the shop computer?
Our old tech guy took our 1.0 ghz system and said "oh yea, the motherboard is dead. Ill just put a new one in here and it will be much better"
i took it apart wondering why it was soo slow, and i find a damn Pentium 2, 400 mhz, with only 128 meg of ram.
I was more than p*ssed

As far as parts upgrading, thos websites like that are cool, but sometimes, I'llwait until the computer fair comes around and get super cheap stuff there. Also, I like Fry's, sometimes they got good deals on some things.

imp: <---- Going for Computer Science Major but being a tech now, helps pay for that. And get's me the experience, besides the Army.
Dang masters or 5 years of experience?!! Wow.. We'll I'm glad Ive been racking up my work experience, I'm going on to my 5th year of being a tech at the Arcadia Unified School District. But yeah like CivicSouldjaEX said, definatlly try to work for a big company or a school district, it's an endless amount of work, trust me! Also my friend works for the Santa Monica Art School as a tech, and he gets paid pretty well and lots of perks like getting paid to attend E3 , COMDEX and other stuff as "training"

ALRIGHT REAL PROBLEM:
I'm building my new pc right now. Motherboard is a MSI KT3 Ultra2 (up to 2200+)w/ AMD Athlon XP 2600 chip. I'm using the hard drive that used to be on my other computer which was an Intel. I have a ATI Radeon 9200 128mb card 8x agp.
The problem: When I start up the comp there is absolutely no picture. The monitor stays in standby mode as if it detects nothing at all. At first I thought it was just the motherboard (which is an older model) that couldn't handle an 8x agp video card. Then I plugged in my even older TNT2 32mb Video card and it still didn't show up. Whats the problem? Is it just something wrong with the motherboard? I was about to go to Frys today to buy a newer MSI K7N2G motherboard for $100, but I thought I'd try to fiddle around with the comp a little more to see what the case is... My brother suggested that it may be the hard drive, because it is not yet formatted and was on an Intel Celeron based computer, and it wouldn't work with AMD, but I'm sure thats not the reason my screen isn't even showing up... Help me out buddy!

One main thing I see is that this Mobo only supports up to 4x video cards, but since you said that even with the older card it was actin up then with the older card installed:
Make sure that the processor is in all the way and no pins are bent. If you have another processor lying around, try it with that in case the AMD is fried, which I hope ain't. Check that the ZIF lever goes down with minimal force. Basically make sure it's on right. Does the fan on the power source turn on? If not check the voltage switch if applicable on the back of it. Also check that the right connections are made to the motherboards power pins. It can't be your hard drive because your motherboard is loaded with a BIOS ROM Chip so even without the hard drive you would see it load the BIOS program. Also a hard drive is partitioned into certain partitions that will work with any motherboard. The fact that the last motherboard was an intel and this is an AMD has nothing to do with the hard drive's configuration. Just for the hell of it, try testing it with another monitor too. When swtiching video cards on this kind of mobo be careful not to harm the lil capacitor by the agp lock. Let me know what happens, it's late right now and this is so far the obvious reasons I could think of. Good luck.
