I use Chevron 87 but my car still has knock/pings. If you want to get rid of the pinging, run 89 (and no, it won't make your car faster).

I use 89 most of the time. Techron...woowoo
Think you are better off using paint that has temp degree on them. like 500 and so on...

1) It raises your octane level too much
2) and that may lead to O2 & Cat converter failures
3) and there's no real hp gain...
Stick to Shell / 76 / Chevron 89 (87 if you don't mind some minor pinging/knocking)
Correct me if i'm wrong though

I don't think it's possible to water it down. I think people have it confused...it's less "refined" and might barely reach government test standards.
Water + Petroleum = Don't mix right?
Just like any oil and water...
Does anyone know?

Gas is gas its not like arco is givin bad gas. If its 87 its 87 its not bs and really 85 or something. And most of the other little gas shops that youve never heard of most probably they have 76 gas. I know this cuz my dad used to own a couple of gas stations from 76 to chevron.
Its a celebration bitches!
